When you choose option "A" from the Global Utilities Menu (1), you will arrive at this screen.  Please note, that in our example here, there is already data in the record.

This is the controlling screen for checking proper entry in the Inventory Add and Edit parts routines.

Column #1 is a short code and can be anything you like, and column two is a full description of this code.

The SERIES is used very much like the product code and is used to group items in inventory for special reporting.  However , a product code will group items normally by the type of item.  For example you might have product code 101 for all sub-compact cars on your lot.  However, by using the SERIES grouping you could have compact cars in Series #12, and also trailer hitches and trailers so that you could run a report of all camping groups.
