MOVE UNPROTECTED MODULES TO PROTECTED

When you choose option #3 from the Security Main Menu, you will arrive at this screen :

There is very little to respond to here other than simply answer "Y" or "N" to the question and then if you do answer "Y", confirming that this is what you really want to do.

WHAT HAPPENS:

As your system runs, references to modules that are not protected, but could be, are placed in a file so that you can be aware of programs that are being used with out the need to enter passwords.  Our system at present is delivered to you with no protection.  We leave this up to you, the end user, to decide how much security you want.

You can either display or print the list of unprotected modules that have been used at any time.  You might want to do so before running this routine.

The wording on the screen dump above is pretty self explanatory.  What happens is that if a program is entered that has code in it to check for user authority, and finds that their is no user in the list of authorized personnel or members group, then this module name is added to the list of unprotected modules for you.  When you choose to run this auto update, it simply takes these references, one by one, copies them to the protected file, and inserts ADMIN into the list of users, and then deletes the reference from the unprotected reference file.

You could do the very same thing manually, by using the Module Update Routine and entering "ADMIN" into the list of authorized users.
