Sales by FSA Report
When you choose option "S" from the Accounts Receivable Reports Menu 1, you will intiate this report.
There are several options to produce the report.
You must first choose to either produce the report on the S)creen or P)rinter.
If you choose P)rinter, then you will be asked to choose a printer from the list of available printers.
If you choose S)creen, then you will be asked to choose a N)ormal type display complete with headings and stopping between screens etc, or a D)ump of information for spread sheet input.
You will be asked to choose between a S)ummary or a D)etailed report. The Summary report will produce one line of information for each FSA in your system. This line includes the FSA, a description of the FSA (if you have completed the control record), and the total sales for that FSA (There is also a Date range to be chosen, see below). If you choose D)etailed, watch out. This report will become quite lengthy because it produces a line of info for each postal code within the FSA codes chosen. Both the Summary and Detailed reports are sorted by the SALES AMOUNT from the largest to the smallest, so that your best areas show up on top.
You will then be prompted to enter the beginning and ending "SEQ DATE". Any invoiced sales between and including these two dates will become part of your report. "SEQ DATE" refers to a field in the customer invoice that holds sequential dates and amounts of every change to that invoice.
You will then be prompted to enter the beginning and ending FSA. If you have chosen to do a detailed report, then we suggest that you limit these inputs to a very short range until you become accustomed to the size of the report that this will generate.
Finally, you will be asked if you are happy with the choices that you see, and you can respond with y)es, N)o, or @)abort.
If you D)ump, and there is anything to print , you will then be prompted to start your screen capture at the beginning and close it at the end of the report. This is to prevent too much garbage (screen prompts, responses etc) from getting into your report.
