Stock Order Discrepancy Report
When you choose option "S" from the reports menu, this report will run. Other than choosing a printer to run your report on, there are really not other choices to make.
In a perfect world, but not in yours or mine, all data in a computer would be 100% accurate. However, once in a while, there will be a hiccup caused by the internet going down in the middle of processing, an error during input by an operator etc. This causes data to go out of syncronization. In the case of this report, it is the data in the "ON ORDER" window in the inventory edit parts screen and the data in the STOCK ORDERS that are on file.
This report scans the "ON ORDER" window information, and compares it with the actual referenced stock orders. If the amount on order in this window and the stock orders do not match, it will print the discrepancy in the report. This gives some-one in authority a quick snap-shot of the differences, and allows them to quickly repair the damage.
