Look Up an Offering
When you choose "5. Look up an offering" from the Offerings Menu, you will be presented with a prompt that asks you if you want to look up an offering by N)ame or E)nvelope number. Once you have made the appropriate choice (we have chosen envelope number for this help) you will then receive another prompt asking you for that number. Again we chose the same number as in the help screens to post and then delete an offering. Since this routine is used mainly to scan a member's record looking for an offering for the year, you now receive one more prompt asking you to enter the starting year , which you enter as a 4 digit number like "2005". We have done this also.
As soon as you have entered the year (you do not have to depress <enter> here because the year fills the field) , the information appears.
So you will see that this offering does not appear in this members's record because it has been deleted. However, it shows all other offerings.
Please note, that this is an olders style system generated report, that once displayed will not allow you to go back. If you do not have a terminal emulator that allows you slide back to previous screens, and you think you missed what you were looking for, your only option is to do it again.
When you are finished, enter "@" for an envelope number, and the system will exit the routine.
